Happy Thursday! This week has felt looong but it’s all worth it because my Thanksgiving break is coming up. I’m so excited to be home with my family and friends, tackle some items on my blog to-do list, and just have some time to relax. My Thanksgiving look is always very casual, but I wanted to share the two ways I styled this skirt because I think it would be the perfect Thanksgiving look! I’m already imagining it with dark tights and a thicker jacket for the colder weather – all the heart eyes.
I absolutely love the first way this is styled – I think it’s such a fun mixture of textures! I picked up this mock-neck tank top from Francescas in two colors (this burgundy and a beautiful olive green) and I have already been impressed with how much wear I’ve gotten out of it. For reference, I’m wearing a Medium & I would definitely recommend sizing one or two sizes up because of the tighter material.
I picked up the highlight of this outfit – the skirt – last year from Target on sale for less than $10. The combination of colors is absolutely perfect for fall & the skirt actually has buttons all the way down which is such a fun feature. I was never sure what to wear with it so when I saw that the top I had bought was about the same color, I was definitely excited to put the outfit together!
The finishing touches for this outfit are a fun statement necklace I picked up at Charming Charlie & one of my favorite pairs of ankle boots. I think these details really pull the outfit together. Of course it’s getting chillier outside (finally!) so in the future I would pair this with a jacket- how cute would a denim jacket be over this?
This is the second way I styled the skirt & I think this outfit is perfect for Thanksgiving, plus it has items you probably have in your closet already! The long-sleeve top is from Old Navy & I actually have it in three colors because it is so practical! It’s just warm enough, especially with a light jacket or vest over it, that you aren’t freezing, but it’s a thin material so you don’t sweat!
To add a fun (and warm!) touch, I added my favorite vest. If you aren’t sure what to put on your Christmas wish list & you don’t have a vest, I recommend asking for one! I’ve gotten so much use out of mine (I’ll be sharing a post soon with different ways I style mine!) that it’s been one of my favorite purchases… ever.
I hope you all enjoyed this style post as much as I enjoyed making it! During my Thanksgiving break I’ll be working on more content, so if you have anything you’d like to see, please let me know!

p.s. The skirt is no longer available, but I’m linking a few other skirts I have my eye on that would also be cute styled similarly + a few of the accessories!
