happy Thursday! today I thought it’d be fun to share my winter bucket list – I wrote one for autumn and it’s such a great way to really visualize what you want to do during the season! I live in hot & humid Alabama, so a lot of my winter is nowhere near as cold as people who live up north, but recently it’s actually been freezing everyday, and we even had snow (of course, our snow is a lot more like slush, but it’s still fun!) I don’t know if it’s on the radar, but I would absolutely love to see snow at Auburn because it would be so beautiful!
- grab a hot chocolate & walk around campus / I am obsessed with hot chocolate any time of year, but especially during the winter I love the feeling of the steam and the way it warms you up from the inside out! On a colder day, I would love to bundle up in my coziest sweaters and just enjoy my walk.
- have a Harry Potter marathon / Something about watching Harry Potter evokes feelings of nostalgia and it would be perfect if you were snowed in or stuck in your dorm! I wish I could relive reading the books & watching the movies for the first time, but since I can’t, I’ll be happy rewatching them.
- read an amazing book / If you read my post about my four realistic goals for 2017, you’ll know that one of my goals is to read at least 12 books this year. I would love to read a book that feels cozy & wintry without being a Christmas story, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know!
- go to a wonderful concert / I absolutely love concerts no matter when they are, and I’m so excited to see one of my favorite bands in two weeks! I’m always on the lookout for concerts by artists that I don’t know as well because they’re normally less expensive & they’re a great way to broaden your music taste. For the more wintry version of this, I really want to take advantage of going to Open Mic Nights at coffee shops.
These are all such simple goals, but I think they’ll all be so fun for me – and you! Today was the second day of classes and I’m so excited for this coming semester. I know it will definitely require hard work, but it’ll all be worth it because I’m taking classes that I think I’ll really enjoy.
What’s on your winter bucket list?
xoxo, Cecilia
