Happy Thursday! It’s almost Friday and we are so close to Easter. If you haven’t chosen your Easter outfit yet (no judgment here #procrastinatorsunite), don’t forget to check out my first and second Easter outfit ideas. These looks are so easy to recreate, especially if you don’t have time to go last-minute shopping. Now, onto today’s post!
I am 100% a creature of habit. I know what I like, and I don’t love branching out. Don’t get me wrong, I am always up for trying new things! But once I know I like something I always go for that. So, today I thought I’d share four of my go-to favorites.
1. Go-to Starbucks order: If you know me at all, you know I love Starbucks. This year for Lent I gave up Starbucks which made me realize just how much I truly like it! As you could probably guess from my “About Me”, my favorite drink is iced vanilla coffee. I specifically order a grande iced vanilla coffee with milk, which makes the drink sweet, creamy and amazing. Once I have my drink, then I can find a seat and write blog posts, work on homework or just relax for a few hours.
2. Go-to Netflix show and movie. I think we can all agree that we probably spend too much time on Netflix. But something about having my favorite show on repeat is the perfect background for doing homework, and every time I watch my favorite movie my mood is immediately lifted. My favorite show (that I quote all the time) is Friends. If, for some odd reason, you haven’t seen it yet, you should watch it immediately. My favorite movie is an Irish film called Sing Street, all about a school band in the eighties. The soundtrack is beautiful and I love the story, the actors… Pretty much everything. Anytime I’m in need of a pick-me-up I watch it!
3. Go-to book: I love reading books, and there’s nothing quite like reading a book for the first time and knowing it’ll be your favorite. With that being said, I re-read books like nobody’s business! I couldn’t choose just one favorite book, so instead I’m going to share two authors I love. My favorite author is Rainbow Rowell, and I love re-reading Eleanor & Park and Fangirl. Her writing style is incredibly unique and the stories make me so happy. Another favorite author of mine is Sarah Dessen (author of The Truth About Forever, Just Listen, Saint Anything & so many more). She has a clear, simple voice that really lets the stories and their themes come through. I could ramble about books forever, so I may share a longer post one day!
4. Go-to outfit. This one is pretty obvious by now, but I truly believe in having a go-to outfit that is easy to put together, makes you look great & feel confident. For some girls this is a LBD, for other girls this may be a jumpsuit, but I personally follow a pretty simple formula. Jeans + a soft, solid-colored shirt + comfy, cute shoes + gold jewelry. This is so easy to throw together & always makes me feel confident. Plus, it’s so easy to “customize” by changing the shirt, wearing heels or flats, and even by adding jewelry and accessories. (You can find my shirt here for less than $10 & in tons of colors!)
Thanks so much for stopping by! I’d love to know any of your go-to favorites – maybe we can help each other branch out!
xoxo, Cecilia
