When the weather gets hotter, I switch my boots for wedges, scarves for delicate jewelry, and sweaters for breathable tanks. This peplum tank is one of my favorite shirts because it is SO easy to style and even though it’s neutral, the peplum is a unique detail. I picked this shirt up last year when my friends and I had a Treat Yo Self Day. I naturally gravitate toward stripes (something my mom and I have in common) but I loved that this top was different than a normal black & white striped top.
Tanks are great transitional pieces when the seasons change. If you live somewhere that goes from chilly to warm quickly, all you need to do is add a great jacket! Of course, because I live in Alabama, we go from warm to even warmer! But for girls like me who are always cold, adding a jacket is a great option.
Because this tank is gray and white, accessorizing could not be easier. An easy way to add an unexpected pop of color is through a fun bralette! Mine is gray, but a maroon or olive green would look great. I left behind my usual dainty gold jewelry for a necklace that makes a bit of a statement. I’m also considering adding a bigger statement necklace that’s out of my comfort zone… Of course, I’ll share if it works!
How was your weekend? I have a few more weeks before I start my job, so I’ve been enjoying having chill days filled with the pool, food and shopping! My dream combination.
Also, I wanted to mention something fun! Last month I took over the College Candy insta story and shared my favorite places to shop. This was such a unique experience for me. Today, College Candy published an interview with myself and three other bloggers. I was so happily surprised to see that it was up because I had done the interview weeks ago. You can read it here!
