Cool for the Summer: Styling an LBD

An LBD is the pizza of fashion. No matter what you add to it, it looks good. No matter what the occasion is, it’s the perfect option. Today I’m sharing my tips for styling an LBD – perfect for staying cool for the summer!

Even though I don’t wear dresses often, cool breezy dresses are my go-to. LBDs are my favorite when I’m not sure what to wear because they can truly be dressed up or down – well, as dressed down as a dress can be.

When I’m styling an LBD, I keep the accessories simple. I like to choose one “statement” piece and let everything else be understated. I’ve been obsessed with this copper choker/long necklace, which pairs beautifully with my mules. In the other look, I added a pair of bright turquoise earrings.

Also, for real, does anyone else instantly feel like a superstar when they put their sunglasses on?! Because the minute they’re covering my eyes, I feel more confident… but also like I should be avoiding the paparazzi.

Speaking of sunglasses… RIP to this pair. I love love loved them, but all good things must come to an end, I guess, and these babies definitely got their end when they randomly snapped last week. Thankfully I’m always looking for new reasons to go shopping, so I can’t complain too much.
