Sweet Ruffled Top & Boyfriend Jeans

Somewhere in the midst of college stress and everyday busyness, fall has arrived in Alabama! If you count lows in the 50s and 60s as fall weather – which I definitely do. Like pretty much every person (and especially every blogger) in the world, I obsess over fall. I’ll share my fall bucket list on the blog later this month, but one thing that isn’t on my bucket list that happens anyway – shopping. I have been going crazy shopping recently, and one of my new favorite pieces is this sweet ruffled top.

Navy blue is one of my favorite colors for so many reasons. Of course, because I’m an Auburn fan (even after our last two games…), but also because navy is a “colorful neutral”. That’s definitely not a real word, but I think it totally applies to colors like navy and olive green. They work like neutrals and go well with other colors. But, they’re still more colorful than blacks and grays!

I especially love navy for fall – it’s such an expected color for the season! Amongst all the deep reds and mustard yellows, it’s a nice change that still goes well with the rest of your fall wardrobe. I paired this top with my go-to pair of boyfriend jeans and a rust colored bralette. As it gets cooler, I think this would look so cute with my go-to olive green jacket and a pair of brown leather boots.

Best part of this top?! IT’S ONLY $9!! Crazy, right?? Every time I go home to Birmingham, I make a stop at Target, and it is always super successful… or unsuccessful depending on how you look at it. Of course, the only place I really look is the clearance section. This top was one of my favorite finds, and when I saw that it was under $10, I was sold. Literally!
