I am all about my comfort zones. I order the same food at the restaurants that I go to at least once a week, I rewatch the same shows, and I listen to the same music on repeat. And I 100% wear and rewear the outfits I feel comfortable in. Today I’m talking about how we can step out of our fashion comfort zones… and why that even matters!
If you saw me on an average day, I’d probably wearing my go-to pair of jeans, a comfortable sweater, and my trusty brown booties. I love having a uniform of sorts – it takes all of the guesswork out of choosing your outfit for the day! But – sometimes these routines mean I get stuck in my habits.
When I take blog photos, I can style clothes and pieces I may not wear normally. On so many occasions I’ve told my mom “I wish I was confident enough to wear this in real life!” I love styling hats and always think they are so cute… but I never wear them. I get so nervous that someone will think I look weird that I don’t even pay attention to how I think I look! Day by day, I’m becoming more confident in my own style. I firmly live by the saying, “if you feel good, you look good” because confidence is the MOST beautiful accessory you could wear.
In 2019, let’s break out of our fashion comfort zones. Let’s say yes to wearing clothes that make us feel our best, no matter what they are. I firmly believe that every single choice we make has the potential to bring us JOY. Choosing what top to wear in the morning may not feel like a big deal, but you can make the intentional decision to wear pieces that bring you confidence and inspire kindness.
If you feel good, you look good. If you feel good, be good to yourself and to others.
xoxo, Cecilia

I agree! I’ve been stuck in my own comfort zones, but over the past year I’ve been pushing myself to break out of them, and that’s something I hope to continue into 2019. Great post!
