Spring is here, and it brings some of my favorite things. Sipping an iced vanilla latte, driving with the windows down, finally wearing shorts. I write a fashion blog, so you know that one of my favorite parts of spring is the clothing! It’s no secret that I love bright colors, so today I’m sharing a colorful spring look. Bright colors can be intimidating, but this outfit is incredibly wearable.
Instead of wearing a ton of bright colors combined, I like to go for light versions of my favorite bright colors. I’m no graphic designer, but a few of my friends are studying graphic design, so I’d say I’m “conversational” in a few graphic design principles, ha! The colors I’m wearing in this look – light blue, pink, and yellow – are all across from each other on the color wheel, so they complement each other.
My favorite outfits always come down to the accessories, and that’s where the bright colors really come into play here! For this look, I chose bright pink earrings and the yellow hair scarf that I have not. stopped. wearing. Hair scarves, earrings, bags, and shoes are all such easy ways to add bright colors to your outfit.
Above all, if you’re worried that wearing bright colors will be too “loud” or different from your usual, I just want to encourage you that your confidence will mean so much more than the actual clothing. Be willing to try out new trends, because you never know when an outfit will become your new favorite!
Now that we’ve discussed plenty of fashion, let’s talk life! This week was so busy (just like they all are) because the semester is coming to an end. I’m the managing editor for Auburn’s literary magazine, and our newest issue is coming out next week! This week was crazy busy because we were having publicity events every day to celebrate the release. There are only about 2 weeks left of class, so every day has a ton to do!
Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to read!
xoxo, Cecilia
