You know how some people get on exercise or health kicks? That’s me right now… with business casual clothing. Now that I’m about to enter my senior year of college, I’m on the hunt for clothing I can style in the office and on the weekends! I’ve been working with Express to share these looks on Instagram, but I knew I also wanted to feature them on the blog.
A pair of cute dress pants were the first thing on my list. Patterned pants are SO versatile… aka the perfect workwear to weekend option. Today, I’m going to share my ideas for styling dress pants 2 ways!
Workwear Look
You need to get your hands on a nice white cami, stat. Obviously, mine needs to be ironed… but this is such a versatile staple. Before now, I really would have just stuck to basic tanks that were less than $10. BUT this top is so worth the investment. It doesn’t stick to your skin and you don’t have to fidget with it all day to make sure it’s tucked just right.
This look would be perfect for a more casual work environment in the summer. Of course, you could easily dress it up by adding a cardigan or blazer!
Weekend Look
The easiest switch you’ll ever make — change out your white tank for a denim chambray tank. Boom, you have your casual look! Plus, I’ve been wearing my hair in a super high ponytail recently. Think “I Dream of Jeannie” height. It shows off the pair of hoop earrings I bought in a set of 3 at Express. The gold hoops alone are less than $10 and I’ve seriously been wearing them every day!
This look is such a fun way to “dress down” dress pants, and I’m so excited to wear it next year. I am a big fan of wearing cute clothes to class. For the first two years, I wore Nike shorts and Comfort Colors tees. So, last year, I decided to switch it up! I feel so much more put together and like I can be more productive when my outfit doesn’t make me feel ready to go work out! I’ll definitely share the looks that I actually wear to class next year… especially since it’ll be my last year going to class.
