In 2020, I’m looking at my blog in a different way & sharing more about my life. I’m starting the last semester of my senior year (!!) & I’m feeling equal parts excited equal parts bittersweet. Instead of dwelling on the future, I’m going to enjoy where I’m at & make sure I’m savoring each moment – for me, that’ll include documenting those moments in this blog! First, I wanted to share a roundup of 3 days in Nashville… I’ll be sharing what we did, where we ate, and more!
Day 1
At the beginning of 2020, I spent 3 days in Nashville with my best friends from high school — we did spring break together our freshman year too! We left on Wednesday morning & made it just in time to catch the Auburn bowl game (rip to that) and then we settled into our AirBnB. This was the absolute cutest AirBnB that’s ever existed – it slept 6 & we were on Music Row, just a mile away from Honky Tonk Row and downtown.
On our first day, we checked out the Parthenon while we had nice weather and walked around. For dinner that night, we started with frozen pizzas, then we all realized that wouldn’t be enough — thankfully, I’m a frequent Domino’s buyer so we fixed that problem real quick.
On our first night, we checked out a few different bars on Honky Tonk Row. One of my favorite things about Nashville is being able to just pop in wherever you want! Obviously you can research and add a few places to your bucket list, but I think some of the most fun memories come in when you randomly walk into a bar or restaurant because you love the song that’s playing.
Day 2
This was our only full day in Nashville, and it was raining, but we had so much fun exploring Nashville! In the morning, we grabbed crepes at Nashville’s Farmers’ Market. This farmers’ market is such a fun stop – it’s indoor, so you could check it out, rain or shine! On weekends, the farmers’ market will be full, but even on this Thursday, plenty of little shops were open.
Thursday was full of checking out different antique stores & record stores. We went to a free moonshine tasting in the Marathon Motor Works building, then we checked out the other stores!
For a late lunch that day, we grabbed tacos at nada. SO. GOOD. The salsa trio was delicious & inexpensive – definitely worth splitting with your friends. I grabbed the chicken taco & the caramelized cauliflower taco – even if you don’t like cauliflowers, get. this. taco. It was the most delicious thing ever.
Before heading out for the night, we checked out an arcade bar called Kung Fu Saloon. If you aren’t a fan of dancing at bars, this would be a fun place to check out! After the saloon, we checked out a few more bars – Acme and Tootsie’s were my personal favorites. For a late (like 2 AM) dinner, we stopped at the Sun Diner, a 24-hour diner that serves breakfast all day!
Day 3
Day 3 was our last day, so we stopped for an early lunch at Otaku Ramen – if you’re not too hungry, split your ramen! I ordered a spicy vegetarian one with cauliflower… yum. Otaku is a two-second walk from my favorite (albeit touristy) coffee shop! Barista Parlor Golden Sound is one of four locations of the Barista Parlor chain, and this location is so cute. Obviously, it’s the perfect background for photos… but it also serves great coffee & delicious pastries.
Throughout our visit, we had plenty of mural photo opps – you can truly stumble into a cute mural wherever you walk! If you’re a planner like me, check out this post – SO helpful!
These 3 days in Nashville were the most fun ever – if you haven’t been to Nashville yet, you need to plan a visit! No matter what vibe you’re looking for, you’ll find it there.
I hope y’all liked this lil roundup! I have been so absent on my blog (life!! is!! busy!!), but I love that I have it to look back on fun memories like this one. Sometimes what I want to write about isn’t high SEO or giving you tips… but I hope that you can still find joy even in these random blog posts!
