If you’ve seen me in the last few months (or, let’s be honest, if you’ve seen my blog posts or Instagram photos) I’ve been wearing the same combo. A breezy white top. High-waisted denim shorts. A white top and denim shorts are like the vanilla ice cream of the summer. A perfect go-to, plus easy to dress up with different accessories.
I’ve been working with Express for one year now, and their denim is my absolute favorite! These high-waisted mom jean shorts are insanely flattering. I got my usual size, but if you’re in between sizes, I would size up. They’re $55 and the perfect option if you want to grab some summer denim. This white top is my new favorite and is the perfect example of an elevated basic! It’s available in all sizes and comes in a few different colors—I was seriously debating between the white and the blush pink!
This is truly the perfect summer outfit and everything I look for when I’m trying to choose what to wear! Classic, chic, and comfortable? Yes, please. Now that I’ve officially accepted a month-long blogging position, I’ve been intentional about waking up and getting dressed even if I’m not going into the office for the day. At the beginning of social distancing times, I honestly thought people were being dramatic when they preached about getting dressed. But now that I’ve been doing it, I’m 100% a convert! I choose a cute outfit that I feel comfortable in from 9 to 5, and then at 5, I change into workout clothes to take a walk. Since I can’t break up my day going to and from an office, changing into different clothes puts me in a different mindset!
Here’s hoping that soon I’ll be able to wear this to do work in a coffee shop. Until then, I’ll have even more excuses to be an outfit repeater.
