If 2020 taught us one thing, it’s the importance of finding outfits that are comfortable and chic… and celebrating with no reason. No need to wait for Valentine’s Day to wear pink and tell someone you love them! On February 14, throw on a cozy Valentine’s Day outfit and keep these essential reminders in mind… from one (perpetually) single girl.
Throw on a cozy Valentine’s Day outfit and make plans with friends
Even if your only Valentine’s date is a pet, you can still choose an outfit to mark the occasion. Pair a comfortable pink or red sweater with a neutral skirt for an outfit that’s comfortable and lowkey.
To celebrate this year, send a card to a friend (or two). Will I ever pass on the opportunity to send a card? Nope. List out the reasons you love someone, write a joke, or draw something. No matter what you do, Valentine’s Day is the perfect day to remind your friends how much they mean to you.
If you’re not feeling great about your relationship status, binge watch a sitcom that reminds you that as relationships come and go, your friends will be there for you. Nothing will make you feel more together than watching your favorite characters not have it together. Text a few friends and plan a Netflix party to make your marathon even more fun.
Remember that you’re not missing anything
Easier said than done at times, right?! I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of posts that say single women should just wait for their time. What exactly are we waiting for? As wonderful as a relationship can be, you don’t have to wait until you’re in one to live your life or feel whole.
Life can be messy and beautiful and painful, with or without a partner. So if you’re celebrating this Valentine’s Day single, you don’t have to celebrate alone. There are people in your life who love you right now exactly as you are.
