One of the reasons I love blogging is that, in a way, it serves as a journal. Of course, it’ll never replace my 100+ page Google Doc diary I’ve been updating since senior year of college, but it’s really fun to look back at what I thought was worth sharing over the years. Today, I’m sitting down and setting my 2025 goals. Of course, lots of these will be personal to me, but I hope that they can inspire you if you’re looking for some ideas to add to your own life!
I absolutely love to set a goal, and while I love the energy of a new year, I’m also a big believer that if something’s important, you shouldn’t wait for a new year (or a new month or even a new morning) to start it! With that being said, there’s something really motivating about looking back over your year, evaluating what you’ve done and how you’ve changed, and setting some goals around that. Here’s a look at a few of my 2025 goals.
MY 2025 GOALS
Move my body at least 4 times a week
In 2023, I was in a really great workout routine doing Ignite Cycle at least four or five times a week. I work out at X4 Fitness now and love it, but when I switched gyms, I got out of the habit of working out as frequently! For fitness, my 2025 goals includes moving my body at least four times a week – ideally with X4 classes three times a week and long walks or at-home workouts the rest of the week. Regardless, I know I feel better physically and mentally when I prioritize physical movement… so I just have to remind myself of that when I’m trying to hit snooze on my alarm.

No scrolling in bed
By far one of my worst habits is how much I scroll TikTok and Instagram. I don’t think I’ll stop scrolling entirely in 2025 but I do think I can make specific goals that will help me be more intentional. The first one… no scrolling in bed. A few weeks this year, I slept with my phone plugged in across the room and it always ended up being the best sleep I’d get, probably because I wasn’t wasting time scrolling. Going to commit to that even more in 2025! I have a lotttt I want to get done, and the truth is I never feel accomplished or proud after hours of scrolling.
Publish one blog post a month
If you’re reading this blog post, you might also love content that isn’t just an Instagram post or a TikTok! As much as I love social media, there’s something really special about longer-form content that has a life longer than the algorithm. In 2025, I’m going to keep working on my blog to share recommendations, travel guides and outfit ideas. Plus, I renewed my domain name this year and seeing that price tag made me realize I should really commit to more time on here lol.
Work with a hotel!
In 2024, I was really grateful to work with a few Alabama-based companies to create content that I was proud of, and in 2025, I want to continue that, but I also want to expand my reach and network. It’s going to take some hard work on my part and lots of unanswered emails and pitches, but it’s a challenge I’m also super excited about. One of my favorite parts of having this side hustle is getting the chance to dive into different aspects of businesses that I don’t do at my 9-to-5, and this “sales” side where I pitch myself is one of them!
I’m really hoping to expand outside of Alabama a bit more while also sharing content that my Birmingham-based followers will find valuable, so working with hotels in the Southeast feels like a natural (and very fun) extension.
Hit 11K followers on Instagram + 5K followers on TikTok
I started my Instagram in 2015, and for years I had pretty stagnant growth, but in the last year, my numbers have picked up. In November 2023, I hit 4,000 followers, then 5,000 in March, and now in December, I’m almost at 9,000 followers. I’m so excited to see how my Instagram has changed, and it’s been especially cool to see so many Birmingham followers! In 2025, I want to keep up the momentum and officially hit 10K (but really 11K… ), and my “shoot for the moon” goal is 15K followers.
I love playing around with content styles and want to be more consistent about sharing a wide variety of content in the new year, so hopefully it pays off!
My TikTok goal is definitely a bit more ambitious (and also, depending on how things go in a few weeks, could be a moot point). I’m sitting at right under 2,000 followers right now, but last December I had less than 400, so you never know what will change!
Host 4 meetups
In summer 2024, I hosted my first ever “meetup” for some local girls who follow me to get together and meet each other. I hosted two in 2024, and one of my 2025 goals is to streamline and host even more gatherings. I love the opportunity to support local businesses and introduce people, so these meetups are the perfect combination of that!
Plus, I’m working with a company called TourHero for a fun trip to Portugal! Just like the meetups, my hope is that if there are any girls (especially women in Birmingham) who have been wanting to travel but don’t have a big group to go with or who want to make new friends and memories of a lifetime! The trip is October 1-6, 2025 and I’m so excited to imagine the possibilities!
MY WORD FOR 2025: TRUST
As much as I love writing a list of goals, every year, I always come back to a phrase or a word to guide my year. Last year, my phrase was “make tomorrow you proud”, and that did help inform a lot of my goals and choices.
This year, the word I keep coming back to is trust. Throughout 2024, and especially towards the end of this year, I’ve found myself repeating the refrain “Jesus, I trust in You.” I think 2025 will be a year of truly leaning into that – trust that I’m right where I need to be, surrounded by the people I should be, and doing what I need to do. I have a lot of big questions right now about what I want this year, and really, my life, to look like. I’m choosing to trust that as long as those answers bring me closer to God in some way or help me become a better person, they’re the right answer. Much easier said than done for someone who likes to plan everything out and know exactly what to expect, but… that’s the point, right?
Thanks so much for reading! Wishing you an amazing 2025 with all the love and laughter to make this year special.
